Shear force and bending moment without sign conventions

Introduction

When studying Strength of materials the student will be confrontated with Sign Conventions… often confusing… which I experienced when studying at the Technical University in Delft, the Netherlands. But that’s not necessary because one can study strength of materials without Sign Conventions! That’s what I found when teaching strength of materials at a technical college, No Sign Conventions and all became clear and easy to understand.
